G20

India is a founding member of the G20 (1999) and held a landmark Presidency in 2023, hosting the New Delhi Leaders' Summit. Under India's presidency, the G20 focused on climate finance, digital public infrastructure, women-led development, and Global South representation. India's push for the African Union's permanent G20 membership was a key diplomatic achievement.
